Berlin and its Flohmarkts: Kreuzboerg Flowmarkt
Once again, we write about Flöhmarkte in Berlin, one of our favourites activities of the weekends, especially on Sundays. Today we are writing about a really special one that we just discovered two weeks ago: the Kreuzboerg Flowmarkt. This flea market takes place every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month in the Prinzessinengarten, in Moritzplatz. So yes, this weekend is happening again!
And why is it so special? Well, on the first place, it’s located in the Prinzessinnengarten, a beautiful urban garden located in Kreuzberg, an amazing project that we will talk about in a future post. It’s location makes it very different from the ones we have ever been before. It’s so green, calm and quiet. Nothing compared to the crowded and overwhelming Mauerpark. You can peacefully wander around the market, sit on the nice tables of the outdoor café surrounded by trees, look at all the plants and vegetables they are growing… you really feel away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Secondly, the stuff they sell in the market makes it also very homey. You can mostly find families, friends, or little designers selling handmade products, recycled accessories, second-hand clothes and several kinds of objects for the home that they just want to get rid off.
That Sunday there was also live music, and even a birthday party of a little child! The atmosphere was really pleasant, and along with its little dimensions, we just felt so comfy!
We definately recommend it, either for the flea market or either for the Prinzessinengarten itself. You can also take a look at the other flea markets that are happening in Berlin in our latests posts: Berlin and its Flohmarkts; Berlin and its Flohmarkts: Nowkoelln Flowmarkt.
