Teufelsberg Open Air

IMG_8406

Berlin is well-known by its electro clubs, fancy bars and great party time. During spring and summer, as the good weather lasts in the city, the so-called Open Airs join this list. These are open air music parties where you can dance like in a nightclub with the sun shining over you. Yes, that’s Berlin!

And when you think you can’t get more, you realise you still can because everything is possible in this city… That was the case of some Italian guys we had met. After having been here during their Erasmus semesters, they celebrated a farewell party in one of the most pure Berliner way. They organised their own Open Air in Teufelsberg!

Located on the West side, Teufelsberg is one the biggest green areas of Berlin. To get there, you need to walk through the forest, climb a little bit the mounts and hike the road. It can take a little time, but it’s worthy, because the view of the city from there is astonishing. We all gazed open-mouthed at it.

So there we were, with some drinks and food, a jacket and -during a while- our umbrellas. Here you can see some of the pictures we take of that day. It was a cool party to remember and a nice way to say goodbye!

  1. Fabulous idea, there’s something awesome about dancing to good music in a field with the sun shining on you! :) Really like the photos – especially the one with the kite. Makes me want to get a kite again and fly it!
