Day-off #2 Cadaqués

IMG_8592

We love Cadaqués. We would move there if it was possible. In summer we would sail on a boat and in winter we would just walk the beach waiting for the good weather to come back. Until then, we know we can just keep daydreaming and show you some pictures of the little town. Oh, it’s such a beautiful place!

Birth-town of Salvador Dalí, Cadaqués is a highly recommended destination. It’s located in the well-known Costa Brava, in the very north-east of Spain. The natural landscapes with both mountains and the sea turn it into something really really unique. The only problem is the number of tourists, specially from the end of June to early September. Unfortunately, that’s something unavoidable… However, you can go there at first light and enjoy a little bit more the city.

You can start your journey in the early morning driving to Cap de Creus to stare at the dawn. It’s magical! After that you can go back to Cadaqués and have breakfast in one of their bakeries. While you eat, you can observe the everyday life of a town waking up: people buying the newspapers, neighbours walking their dogs, trucks that stop and unload fresh fruit,… Once you’re done, you can have a little walk on the probably still empty beach. Amazing feeling! Then you can loose yourself in the tiny streets and enjoy the beauty of this town. The city will seem uncrowded.

We can ensure you it was worth it! And yes, to sum up we miss the summer!
